Valley View Pool

Valley View Pool

Nestled on the edge of the Severn Valley, close to the Shropshire village of Alveley with stunning view towards Clee Hill & Brown Clee and hidden amongst the farms and small holdings, you will find the gem of a pool called Valley View. Valley View is a 1.5 acre reed lined pool with a number of small islands and maturing trees and shrubs. Access is via two steel bar gates, with the second one holding a combination lock requiring the KFAC code to gain access. PLEASE NOTE that all gates must be securely closed after use, as livestock are often present.

Don’t be put off by the size of Valley View, as the pool has been meticulously designed and lovingly landscaped and stocked by its owner. Carp over 20lbs, Chub to 7lb+, Perch over 4lb, plus Roach, Bream, Skimmers, Tench, Rudd, Barbel and the mighty Gudgeon are all present.

There is good safe access and parking is close by for those members who prefer not to have to walk far. Fishing is from a number of well constructed platforms. Ideal for either stalking around looking for feeding fish, or sitting in and building a swim, Valley View offers KFAC members a superb year round opportunity to get a bend in your rod no matter what the conditions.

The Carp respond well to most methods and often feed on the surface in warm weather. Simple float, feeder or pole tactics ideal for pleasure fishing.

As with all waters, there are some rules and regulations:

No more that 6 KFAC members are permitted to fish the water at any one time. If you arrive and there are already 6 KFAC members fishing, then please head to another venue.

No keepnets.

The owner will be holding some charity matches on the water throughout the year, so please keep an eye out on the website for the dates. Members are requested to keep the water free on the dates of the matches.

Night fishing is allowed, but as with all our waters, please be respectful and keep lights and noise to a minimum.

NO LITTER. If there is litter around, as with all our waters, just remove it!

No Braid mainline.

Please treat all the fish with respect and use unhooking mats on the larger specimens.

Valley View Pool is well hidden and because of its location, not easy to find. Please refer to the supplied maps.
